OUR VISION

Bridging the world of violin making with science

Our vision is to create a vibrant international network that unites luthiers from across Europe. We aim to promote luthiere as an independent art form that blends the musical realm with the aesthetics of visual arts. Our goal is for luthiere to find its place within the broader discourse of the humanities, bringing together luthiers, musicians, scholars, and enthusiasts while creating a lasting, intergenerational legacy.

PUBLICATION

Polish violin in Paris

We present "Polish Violin in the Musée de la Musique in Paris" by Jan Bartoś, a bilingual publication that sheds light on the long-mysterious instrument. Thanks to meticulous research, Jan reveals the Polish origins of the violin, providing invaluable insights into its history and craftsmanship. This monograph includes biographies of old Polish masters, a detailed description of the instrument studied, research methodology, fascinating visual documentation, and forewords written by Jean-Philippe Échard and Honorata Stalmierska. Additionally, the book is equipped with a 1:1 scale poster of the instrument.

RESEARCH AND CERTIFICATION

Rediscovering Polish art of violin making

We constantly search for new artifacts related to Polish lutherie and historical records of our creators at auctions, in collections, museums, libraries, archives, and private holdings worldwide. We conduct research, publish our findings, and issue certificates of authenticity.

If you have an instrument that features characteristics of the Polish violin making school, please contact us! We will examine it and potentially issue a certificate of authenticity!
